Lonestar is a celebrated American country music group known for blending heartfelt storytelling with a polished pop-country sound. The band, comprised of Dean Sams, Michael Britt, Keech Rainwater, and Drew Womack, has made a lasting mark on the genre with 22 charting topping singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, including 10 No. 1 hits. Their meteoric rise began in 1995 with their top 5 single "Tequila Talking." They soon had number 1 hits like their rock-tinged "No News," which was followed by hits like "Come Cryin' to Me" and "Everything's Changed."
The release of their quadruple-platinum 1999 album Lonely Grill cemented their legacy, featuring four chart-topping singles, including the timeless ballad "Amazed," which became a global sensation and a crossover success, spending 9 weeks at number 1, plus 2 weeks at number 1 on the pop chart. Lonestar's ability to craft emotionally resonant and radio-friendly songs has earned them widespread acclaim, along with numerous accolades, including Academy of Country Music awards for New Vocal Group (1996), Single and Song of the Year (2000), and Humanitarian of the Year (2002). In 2001, they also won the Country Music Association's Vocal Group of the Year and International Artist Achievement Award.
